These are basic classrooms or meeting rooms that historically have not been on the campus network or integrated with the facility's control system because it wasn't cost-effective. Now, with iMedia, even the smallest, most basic rooms can be connected and remotely managed with RoomView software.

iMedia (IM) is a one-wire solution, transmitting power, control data, high-resolution RGBHV, composite video and high-quality audio all over a single CAT5e cable. IM is designed for simple, low-cost projector control and source select solution. An intuitive set-up Wizard makes system configuration quick and easy. IM supports e-Control® for remote system control and RoomView® integration for facility-wide system management.

To begin a presentation, simply connect a laptop to any IM interface and press the "Select" button. Automatically, the screen drops down, the projector powers "ON" and the RGB input on the projector is selected. An LED indicates the source is active and a tactile knob on the interface adjusts the volume level of that source. For applications that have more than one IM interface, the source switches and local volume levels are active when the “Select” button is pressed at the transmitter.

iMedia with Video Support
In this typical iMedia room with video support, the IM-RXV3 accepts three iMedia inputs from three different iMedia input devices. Two of the iMedia input devices (IM-TCCV and IM-WCCV) accept standard video and send it on to the iMedia receiver for display using a video projector. The projector screen is controlled by the relay in the IM-RXV3. Two room speakers are powered by the IM-RXV3, and RoomView provides asset management.
