The Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) awarded George Feldstein, President and CEO of Crestron Electronics, Inc. the CEDIA 2007 Lifetime Achievement Award. This prestigious award recognizes an individual who has exhibited outstanding, creative, innovative, and visionary leadership in the growth and advancement of the custom electronic systems industry.

Feldstein, who founded Crestron in 1971, was recognized for the exemplary contributions he has made during the course of his career, to Crestron and its employees worldwide, as well as the entire CEDIA community. From its humble beginnings, Feldstein has grown Crestron to encompass 27 offices worldwide.

CEDIA's Electronic Lifestyles® Awards Competition are the most prestigious form of recognition in the custom electronics industry. These highly sought after awards are presented each year to recognize excellence in the custom electronics industry. The Elf Foundation is a non-profit charity that brings the enchantment of uplifting music and film to children with long-term illnesses around the country. The AV Awards, which were announced at InfoComm 2006, celebrate industry excellence in several product categories, as well as recognizing other outstanding individuals and projects.

Best Audio Distribution - Adagio Entertainment System

CMP Technology's Digital Connect Magazine announced the 1st annual DICE award winners at the CMP XChange Tech Connect conference earlier this month. Crestron's new Adagio Entertainment System was awarded the 1st Annual Dice Award in the category of Audio Distribution.

The winners were selected through a study of The Digital Integration Channel, which measured overall business and technology integrator perceptions of vendor products and services. The DICE study is the only digital integrator study in the industry today that focuses on the IP enablement for the home and small office markets.

NSCA and Sound & Video Contractor honored Crestron at the 4th Annual Innovations in Technology Product Awards. Crestron SystemBuilder 2.0 was selected as the best Business Productivity tool in the industry. SystemBuilder 2.0 makes AV and control system design and programming quicker, easier and more effective. Award finalists were on display at NSCA in the Innovations in Technology Pavilion. Attendees were invited to view the products in the Pavilion, and vote electronically. George Feldstein, President of Crestron Electronics, proudly accepted the SCN 2005 Installation Products Award for Best Control Product during the InfoComm awards banquet at the Las Vegas Hilton last month. The SCN Installation Products Awards were established by the International Communications Industries Association (ICIA) and CMP Information, Inc. to recognize excellence in the integration of audio, video, control and networking products in the installation market. A panel of judges selected the finalists among all entries, and readers of Systems Contractor News, who voted for their favorite products via a reader's poll, determined the winners.

TecHome Builder polled thousands of readers, who gave the case for their favorite time-saving, money-making, customer-pleasing high-impact products of the year.

The Crestron CLX Series of Lighting Products was named High-Impact Products of the Year in the Home Technology category.

Crestron is proud to add the UPX-2 to its award-winning product line up. A committee of industry expert integrators, contractors, consultants and magazine editors narrowed more than a hundred entries to 21 of the greatest technology innovations for 2005. The UPX was selected as a contender in the category of convergence.

Final judging took place on March 12, at the event in Orlando where attendees of NSCA's Systems Integration Expo 2005 did the final judging and declared the UPX-2 Universal Presentation System the hands-down winner.

CEPRO readers vote that All of Crestron's Products are Winners

In the December 2004 issue of CE Pro Magazine, Crestron was named High Impact Company of the Year. "Picking the most important products of the year is no small task" says Julie Jacobson, Editor of CE Pro. "That's why we ask our readers to select them."

On June 8th at InfoComm 2004 in Atlanta, Crestron's RoomView management and Help Desk software was presented with the Systems Contractor News Installation Product Award for Best Software Product at the sold-out AV Communications Excellence Awards Banquet.

Chosen through a readers' poll conducted by sponsor Systems Contractor News magazine, awards for install-specific products were given in 11 categories at the event, as well as recognizing other outstanding individuals, projects and products in the audiovisual industry.

The membership of the National Systems Contractor Association has chosen Crestron as a multiple winner in the first annual Innovations in Technology Awards given at the 2003 NSCA Convention in Dallas last week.

Based on their knowledge of the products and the display in the Innovations in Technology Pavilion on the NSCA Expo exhibit floor from March 13-15, attendees chose Crestron's MP2E as Best Control System and www.crestron.com as the industry's Best Website.

Crestron Installations Take Two Grand Prizes In Presentations' Best Rooms Contest

Presentations, one of the industry's leading trade publications, has published its annual Best Presentation Rooms Awards and two of the three Grand Prizes chosen feature Crestron control systems and touchpanels.

In the Best Boardrooms Category, the Grand Prize winner is the extraordinary Executive Boardroom at the Merrill Lynch headquarters in New York's World Financial Center. Designed by Shen, Milsom & Wilke, Ace Audiovisual was the dealer on this room used primarily for videoconferences with Merrill Lynch's London office.

In their description of the Crestron-controlled project, Presentations described the room as "a classic mix of old-school elegance and up-to-the-minute technology. This impressive combination of appealing aesthetics and sophisticated technology earned the room our Grand Prize."

Designed and installed by dealer AV Associates, Inc., a Crestron-controlled room earned 2nd Prize in the Best Boardrooms category as well. With a Crestron touchpanel as its primary user interface, the E-Com Center Conference Room at the Hartford, Connecticut offices of United Technologies Corp. "can accommodate practically any type of interactive videoconference and is a flexible, non-traditional use of the space."

A Crestron installation also earned Grand Prize honors in the Best Auditoriums Category, as the Harvard University Graduate School of Education's Larsen Hall was the top choice. Featuring a Crestron CNXRACKX control system and four Crestron touchpanels, the team behind the Larsen Hall system features Communications Design Associates, Inc. as the system designer and Crimson Tech as the AV dealer.

In its description of the winner, Presentations explains that "an intuitive Crestron touchpanel interface allows control of the room's technology, including plasma displays and desktop microphones for video and audioconferencing."

AV Associates also designed and installed another prize-winning Crestron-controlled project in this category, as the Atrium Auditorium at Pfizer, Inc.'s Groton, Connecticut facility were honored.

Innovations 2001 is the Consumer Electronics Association's (CEA) prestigious competition which honors product excellence in Design and Engineering. According to the CEA, "there is no higher honor than winning the Consumer Electronics Association's Innovations 2001 Design and Engineering Award."

The Design & Engineering Honors Program recognizes the most innovative products in 19 different categories. Over 600 entries in the Innovations 2001 Design & Engineering Honors Program were judged by a panel of 22 prominent industry experts and the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) endorsed and acted as advisors to the Showcase. Winners like Isys were chosen based on weighted criteria: value to user, aesthetics, contributions to the quality of life as well as the product's innovative qualities.

Innovations showcased the winning products in the Silver Pavilion of the Las Vegas Convention Center and Best of Show winners were featured in a special display in the Grand Lobby of the Las Vegas Convention Center during the 2001 International CES.

At the recently concluded Electronic House Expo Fall in Costa Mesa, CA, the Home Automation and Networking Association presented their first-annual Wavelength Awards for the Coolest Products of the Year. During the first day of EHE Expo Fall, show attendees submitted their ballots for the four Wavelength contest categories and the winners were chosen solely on the basis of those votes.

Industry professionals again recognized the Crestron Isys touchpanel control system as an original and significant technological breakthrough, choosing Isys the winner in two Wavelength Award categories "Coolest Control/Automation Product/System" and "Coolest Entertainment Product/System".

Crestron was chosen "Manufacturer of the Year" and Crestron UK earned the Grand Prix Award as "A-V Company of the Year" at AV Magazine's 2000 Industry & Technology Awards on Thursday, October 12 in Surrey, England.
