Share Your StoryInside Stories demonstrates Crestron solutions applied in both unusual and familiar settings. This series is a testament to the ingenuity, creativity and diligence of our loyal dealers and programmers. Inside Stories focuses on specific vertical markets such as Education, Government & Military, Residential, and Corporate to provide relevant application stories for dealers and end users. The stories below feature practical summaries, descriptions and photos of real installations.

Some stories are available to read online and some are available as brochures for immediate download in PDF format. The downloadable brochures make excellent marketing collateral for sales meetings to illustrate how Crestron control and automation solutions work for customers in any market.

University of Rochester
Rochester, NY

The University of Rochester utilizes a Crestron QM-RMC/XPanel combination to manage 130 technology-enhanced rooms and a distributed AV system in the campus library. The result has been a vastly reduced response time (even though staffing levels have proportionally decreased), and an overwhelmingly positive response from end users.

Cedarville University
Cedarville, OH

Instructors at Cedarville University in Cedarville, OH rely on Crestron's TPMC-15-QM for easy control. The university's Stock Trading Room replicates the actual New York Stock Exchange experience with a live Bloomberg feed and real-time stock ticker. The TPMC-QM also supplies an intuitive interface to control and route all source signals - including the computer and DVD player to the classroom's stock board and 37" and 63" plasmas.

Virginia Commonwealth University
Richmond, VA

Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), one of the most prestigious colleges in the country, set e-Control as its standard to connect and control every room at the university. VCU has over 200 Crestron connected rooms that are monitored and managed with RoomView®, and another 100 scheduled to be online in the immediate future.

Xavier Center for Holistic Nursing
Cincinnati, OH

The beautiful new Xavier Center for Holistic Nursing in Cincinnati, Ohio worked with Premier Network Solutuions of Cincinnati to integrate a new Crestron control solution using QuickMedia and TPMC-17-QM touchpanels.

Niagara County Community College
Sanborn, NY

Niagra County Community College chose Crestron to control its classroom presentation systems and combine PC and Mac functionality on a single network that instructors can quickly switch back and forth between. The project features a very unique application of the MPS-200 and QuickMedia transport technology.

St. Cloud State University (SCSU)
St. Cloud, MN

The Electronic Classrooms (E-Classrooms) team at St. Cloud State University decided to replace 90 rooms of AMX equipment with Crestron control solutions. In addition to swapping out gear in 90 rooms, the team outfitted an additional 45 rooms with Crestron control solutions to create an intuitive and consistent front end for teachers, regardless of which classroom they were teaching in.

Wolf Law Building - University of Colorado
Boulder, CO

The Wolf Law Building at the University of Colorado received Gold Level LEED Certification in 2007 for energy efficiency and attention to the environment. Crestron provides facility-wide automation and remote helpdesk management throughout the five-story 184,000 square-foot building, including control of all AV presentation systems in all 26 rooms.

Minnetonka School District
Minnetonka, MN

Recently, the district of Minnetonka, Minnesota set a goal to implement presentation classroom system that would include robust AV solutions. The plan would bring updated AV technologies into the district's K-12 classrooms while ensuring the simplicity of integration of newer technologies in the future. Crestron's MediaManager was the solution they were looking for, with the QM-RMCRX QuickMedia controller mounted at the projector, as the integral component in each classroom system. The presentation room is easily control by the teachers with a simple 8-button panel on the wall.

Messiah College
Grantham, PA

The new Boyer Hall at Messiah College in Grantham, Pennsylvania was given a solid foundation for developing a future-proof solution that would grow with the needs of the school, its faculty and students. Crestron's RoomView software added to the future-proofed and cost effective solutions by giving the small media department remote access for monitoring and managing Av devices in the 17 new classrooms, 4 seminar rooms, computer labs, observations lab and 129-seat theater from a central point of control.

Cornell University
New York, NY

The NEES facility at Ithaca's Cornell University is used for experimental earthquake engineering research. The recently completed Richard N. White Instructional Facility is a classroom and demonstration facility, constructed to support presentations and videoconferencing with other NEES facilities, including multiple camera displays of the large-scale experiments. A Crestron C2N-DVP4DI processor dynamically displays several live camera shots, while the Crestron Isys TPS-5000 touchpanel allows the end user to switch room modes, selecting from a variety of split-screen video, collaboration and multi-image display mode.

Crestron The Key to Integration at U. of Memphis' FedEx Institute of Technology
Memphis, TN

The FedEx Institute is a unique, $23 million public-private collaboration between the University of Memphis and the Memphis-headquartered shipping giant. Crestron technology and personnel, working closely with consultant and dealer, play the key role in integrating multiple technologies at this 95,000 square-foot facility that incorporates a WiFi network, a VoIP network, interactive multimedia theaters for meetings and presentations, computer labs, training rooms, collaboration areas and an exhibit area.

Nashville Library
Nashville, TN

Crestron e-Control and six Isys TPS-5000 touchpanels are the central point of multi-media control in Nashville's new $52-million Main Library. The library's networked A/V system serves a multi-purpose, dividable, 300-seat meeting space; a 230-seat auditorium and a children's theater, as well as the main conference room, a boardroom and 2 computer training rooms.
