Crestron Quick Courses

Crestron CTI training is pleased to announce Quick Courses online. These new quick courses allow dealers to obtain vital information on a timely basis, but without investing large amounts of time.

CTI Quick Course subjects are designed to answer many of the questions you have today about installing and programming systems, but do so in just minutes. Each Quick Course will run between 5 min to 90 min and provide you the tools needed to pause, fast forward and rewind the material so you can view it as often as you like.

No registration is necessary, simply search through the categories below and find a subject matter that interests you, click to start the movie and prepare to learn.

Adagio Composer
 

Adagio composer is a simple to use wizard for setting up and configuring an Adagio audio system by Crestron. This simple to use software is explained in the step by step 15 min narrated movie where you will learn the following:

  • How to populate your system and name rooms and sources
  • Add Crestron sources like the AAS Audio Servers or the CEN-IDOC

This 12 minute Quick Movie gives an overview of the powerful features and components of Crestron's e-Control 2, a broad-based technology that integrates Crestron audio/visual control into Ethernet/IP networks. By using Ethernet in your control applications, you gain the ability to harness the speed and flexibility of the Internet to access, analyze, and diagnose control system functions.

Rather than simply providing remote access, XPanel, using e-Control 2, truly replicates the Crestron touchpanel experience on any PC or PDA. The exact touchpanel GUI is presented on the remote PC, replicating every button-press, including system feedback.

How To Design A Dimming System
 

This 20 minute quick course reviews the process and steps involved in designing a lighting control and dimming system. It teaches you how to recognize and promote an opportunity for lighting control and how make design selections based on convenience, cost considerations, and stage of construction. Starting with the electrical drawings and fixture layouts of a conventionally wired lighting system, this course overviews how to systematically redesign it into a dimming control system using both wall box and centralized solutions. In doing so you will eliminate the limitations imposed by the conventional system and at the same time add convenience and operational flexibility to your client's lighting system.

Audio Distribution
 

Audio distribution is a driving force in our industry. This 35 min quick course provides an overview of what is required to design a multi-source, multi-zone audio distribution system. In addition to teaching a basic understanding of the definitions and terminology used to describe a distributed audio system, it demonstrates the features and functions of Crestron's industry leading products including the PAD8, BIPAD8, DAP8, room control options, amplifiers, and others. Detailed application examples are provided throughout.
